Use Privacy Defender to scan spyware and adware
You will have to run a scan on your computer to identify the spyware and adware on your computer. To run a scan:
- Open up Privacy Defender and click the "Scan" button.
- We recommend that you save your registry before scanning -
Go to "Start" > "Run" > type in "regedit" > "OK" > go to "File" > "Export". Next, name the file "System Registry" > Save.
- When the scan completes the identified spyware will be listed under Spywares Found along with registry entries under Traces Found. Remove all un-wanted spywares by clicking the "Remove Spyware(s)" button.

- How do I remove the adware & spyware ?
If you think you may have Adware and Spyware then the simplest way to check is to run a Free Scan with Privacy Defender 3.0.
- Why is my Privacy Defender program oversized when opening the main menu?
The screen resolution is set to a larger size. Right click your mouse on the desktop. Choose Properties-->Settings-->Set Screen Solution from to by one or more points. Doing this will set your screen to a more normal size to view the program.
- Privacy Defender is not deleting all of my spywares.
If Privacy Defender identifies a spyware but can not remove it. Please use the button on the program and follow the instructions. We will begin working on finding all the signatures associated with the spyware. It can take up to 2 weeks to find all the signatures. Keep running your updates on a weekly basis.
