Overview of the user-friendly interface
File Menu
The File Menu contains the following commands:
Scan (Folders or Files) - Chooses the object to be scanned (Folder or File) and starts the scanning process
Load settings - lets you choose the settings of the program that were saved before and then reloads them
Save Setting As - saves current setting of the program letting you specify the name of the file
Recent Settings - stores the recently saved setting of the program for quicker access
Actions Menu
The Actions Menu contains the following action commands:
Start Scan -start the scanning process
Pause/Resume- pauses/resumes the scanning process
Stop Scan -stops the scanning process
View Log Files- opens Log file
Clear Log File- clears the contents of Log file
Clear Infected List- clears the contents of the Report Window (List of Infected files)
Tools Menu
The Tools menu contains a command to let you use the program's special features. It also allows you to customise Tauscan's default settings
Update - Opens the program's update feature
Database -Opens the database of known Trojan viruses, that Tauscan is capable of removing from your computer
Wizard - Starts the scanning process in Wizard mode
Options - opens the program's Options menu
Help Menu
The descriptions of the command on the File menu are:
Contents- Displays the contents of Tauscan's Help menu
Tutorial- Opens the online Tauscan Tutorial located on the Tauscan web site
Tauscan on the web - Lists related links to the program's web resources
Register - Allows you to register your copy of the program
About Tauscan - Opens a window displaying copyright information
