Press Decrypt button in main toolbar and the program will show decryption password window. Enter the decryption password. If you forgot the password press Show Riddle button in order to show a hint. Use this password for all files to be decrypted - this option by default is on. It means that if you selected several files for decryption it will use the same password for all these files. How to wipe files? This operation permanently removes files from computer. Technically when someone removes a file from computer the file is not actually removed. All data of the file is still saved on disk but it's marked as "removed" data. It allows to file recovery software to easily recover removed files. If you want to remove the files for sure, use Wipe command. It will pass over file data several times and then the files will be removed. So it would not be possible to recover it by any recovery software. How to use text pad? Using Text Pad you may encrypt any text and then copy/paste it into your favorite email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes), instant messenger (ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger) or simply send the text as email using Send by Email command. Type any text in text pad. Then press Encrypt button. Specify encryption password. The text will be encrypted. You should copy whole text of text pad into windows clipboard then you may paste into your favorite program. When you receive decrypted text from your friend or colleague paste it into the text pad and press Decrypt button, enter the password. The program will decrypt it. Screenshots - More Details |
