Frequently Asked Questions - Password Manager
- What can I do to secure my master password?
If you need to write down your master password, then you should store the note somewhere that is as safe as possible. We would recommend a private safe, or safe deposit box. Never reveal you master password to someone you do not know or trust. Always remember that no representative from Booleansoft will ever ask for you master password.
- What is a master password ?
The master password is the only password you need to remember after starting to use Password Manager. To open a Password Manager database you will need its master password.
- How secure is the Password Manager database ?
The database is secured by the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which is a open sourced industry standard. AES was made a standard by the National Institute of Standards and Technology on May 26, 2002. The data is so encrypted that a hacker could use potentially hundreds or thousands of years to crack it, even with todays powerfull computers.
