AdmWin 7.0 - User Guide and FAQ

1. On the main interface, five functional windows are available.
2. Select the window that you want to use.
3. On SetupBatcher window, you can batch create, edit and delete user accounts, passwords, groups, organizational units, directories, shares, FTP and web directories, mailboxes, permissions, registry settings etc. on one or many servers or workstations at once. Run commands on remote machines. Linux: manage Linux and Samba accounts. Run commands on remote machines. Novell: manage NetWare and GroupWise accounts. Transfer accounts including passwords among Linux, Novell and Windows servers. Create or modify accounts on all three platforms at the same time.
4. On SetupExplorer window, you could view, edit, sort and export accounts, active directory properties, group membership and shares. It supports both servers and workstations. Novell: manage NetWare and GroupWise accounts.
5. On NTinfo window, you could extract and display network, event log and system information from one or many computers in a Windows domain. It searches for files and calculates directory sizes across multiple machines.
6. On NTreport window, you could do - Windows: Is basically the script version of NTinfo. NTreport can automatically scan one or many windows domains or machines for data, filter the data, export data or perform various actions depending on the data.

1. Can I order a printed manual?
   No. Click the print button in the help viewer to print topics. We are working on a more printer friendly PDF version of the manual.
   
   
2. Is there a manual in some other languages than English?

3. Is there a version of AdmWin for the Alpha platform?
   No, there is no Alpha version of the compiler we use. But it is possible to run the executable on Intel and manage Alpha remotely.
   
   
4. Is it possible to get E-mail when a new version of AdmWin is released?
   No, you have to use this website to get the new version.
