Power Video to Audio Converter 1.01 - User Guide and FAQ

Power Video to Audio Converter supports converting video files to MP3 files.

To convert to MP3, just do as below:

1. Click "Add" button and add the files you want to edit. Multi-add is supported. You can add more than one file by pressing the Ctrl key while clicking the files or pressing the Shift key and using the arrows to select a range of files.

2. Remove the file by clicking "Remove" or "Clear" button - Just remove the file-recorder from filelist, not really delect them from your computer.

3. Do your settings. You can set the parameters yourself. Just click "Options" button and active the "MP3 Setting" page, then you can do your settings. If you are not satisfied with your setting and want to use default setting, just click 'Default' button. By default, Frequency is 44,100Hz, Channel is Stereo, Bitrate is 128kb, Quality is 8, VBR Bitrate is 128kb, VBR Quality is 8. Remember to click "Ok" button after your settings.

4. Set the start-time and end-time. After adding to filelist, the default start-time is "00:00:00" and end-time is the length of the file. To change the start-time and end-time, select on the file, then drag to change the time. To set current time to start-time, just click "Start Time ", to set current time to end-time, click "End Time". You can also set start-time/end-time when pre-listening the song. Just click on the file to select it, then click "Play" button, when get to the time you want to set to start-time/end-time, click "Start Time"/"End Time". Trackbar is enabled for playing and you can change play-position by dragging trackbar. Some files don't support drag for its format. If the start-time/end-time be changed, the time in the filelist will be changed accordingly.

5. Choose Output Settings to "MP3", click "Convert", then the conversion will begin. To terminate the conversion, click "Stop" button.

Notice:

1. After clicking "Convert", if a message as "Don't support this MP3 format, please reset." appears, it because you have set high frequency and low bitrate or have set low frequency and high bitrate. I mean, 48000 Hz frequency will not accept 8Kbps bitrate, please lower the frequency or high the bitrate and so on.

2. VBR stands for "Variable Bit Rate". Using VBR will allow the sampler to vary the bit rate depending on the profile of the incoming audio signal.



Frequently Asked Questions - Power Video to Audio Converter

  1. Can Power Video to Audio Converter extract audio from my VCD files?
    Yes, Power Video to Audio Converter can. Please choose the opendialog filter to "All Files (*.*)" and select the files you want to convert, click "Convert", then the conversion will begin. When converting every of you VCD files, it needs some minutes to load your file. It seems that our software is down but it is working. Just wait for some minutes and the convertion will begin. You can just click "Convert" and forget it, do other things you want to, the files will be converted one by one.

  2. My created WMA file is invalid, why?
    If you create invalid wma files, please download wmfdist.exe and install it on your computer, then reinstall our software.

  3. When I create MP3/OGG file, an error " Don't support this MP3/OGG format, please reset. " appear, why?
    It is because you have set high frequency and low bitrate or have set low frequency and high bitrate. For example, you have set to frequency 48KHz, bitrate 32Kbps. If so, please low the frequency or high the bitrate.

  4. When playing one video file, track bar is invalid, why?
    Some files doesn't support drag.

  5. When I convert/play an asf/avi file, an error appear, how to resolve it?
    Please reinstall our software, check "Windows Media Tools Setup" and install that tool. Not only does Windows Media Tools install the mpeg4 codec for avi and asf video playback, but it also has a lot of video editing software for these formats as well.

  6. How to get smaller files?
    To create small file, please lower the parameters. But the lower the parameters, the lower the quality of your created file, though the smaller the file. In other words, the higher the parameters, the higher the quality of your created file, but the larger the file. Please increase/decrease frequency and bitrate accordingly. I mean, 48000 Hz frequency will not accept 8Kbps bitrate, please lower the frequency or high the bitrate and so on.
