1. What is OtsDJ?
   
   OtsDJ is a breakthrough application that allows DJs, radio stations and music lovers to manage, play and mix, pre-recorded music in a manner never before possible with a standard Windows PC.

   OtsDJ heralds a new age in DJ mixing/radio automation software, bringing the power to mix into the hands of music lovers, and allowing professionals to focus on the more important areas of creativity which distinguish them from the rest.
   
   In allowing any person with a Windows-based computer to run their own personalised auto-radio-station with the click of a button, OtsDJ has brought the impossible to life!
   
   With extremely accurate automatic mixing point technology, hundreds of users have been amazed with the intelligent mixes between songs, enjoying that unique "radio sound", and always with their own favourite music!
   
   OtsDJ handles mixing, dynamics (volume management), EQ, pitch control and also features a realtime pitch-preserving tempo control.

3. What type of files does OtsDJ understand?
   
   OtsDJ now handles MP3s and WAV files directly, and additionally features the incredibly intelligent Ots Album files (.OTS extension) which encapsulate single or multiple MP3s making them more powerful and usable than ever before.
   
   
4. What are Ots Album files?
   
   Ots Album files were developed to complement the magnificant audio compression offered with MP3 streams.
   
   An Ots Album file can be thought of as a container for one or many MP3 files allowing a whole album to be stored in one logical single file. Ots Albums include the ability to contain many additional data types, such as album cover art, song lyrics, audio control information, beat/lighting control info, advanced genre and release information, etc.
   
   Basically, the scope of data types that can be contained in an Ots Album file is not limited in any practical sense, but rather Ots Album files provide the backwards/forwards compatible mechanism for introducing limitless data types in the future.
   
   
5. Will there be a loss of quality during conversion if I choose to use Ots Album files?
   
   None whatsoever! Ots Album files simply encapsulate the MP3 file(s) and therefore can easily be converted back (if necessary) with NO quality loss. The MP3 audio will be identical to the original bit-for-bit.
   
   You can convert back and forth as much as you want with no quality loss (think of it as taking a jacket on and off).
   
   
6. How can I take advantage of Ots Album files?
   
   Ots Labs has developed the OTS MP3 Conversion Utility, and Ots Studio (for ripping and editing).
   
   These applications allow you to convert MP3s to Ots Album files as single songs or containing multiple songs, and with the inclusion of high quality JPEG cover art!
   
   With OTS MP3 Conversion Utility you can perform mass conversion with hundreds of MP3s in a truely automated fashion. The application has advanced artist/title interpretation which utilises ID3-tag information, and MP3 file naming standards, making the end result as accurate as possible!
   
   Ots Studio allows you to create Ots Albums with ease. Ots Albums empower you to represent an original CD with all of its songs, correct titles and artists, genres, copyright information, and original cover art - all in one compact file! Or, naturally, you can creatively make your own compilations! These albums can be viewed and played with the Ots Player program or easily imported and mixed in OtsDJ as individual songs or as albums.
   
   You can also convert Ots Album files back to MP3s if ever necessary in the future, with the click of a button, and with no loss of quality (the MP3 audio will be bit-for-bit identical to the original)!
   
   A command-line program, MP3OTS.EXE, is also included with the demo for those wishing to use specialised batch-orientated integration.
   
   
7. How do I use the OTS MP3 Conversion Utility and Ots Studio?
   
   The OtsDJ download includes the OTS MP3 Conversion Utility. This is the best way to mass create Ots Album files from your MP3s. Click on Windows START -> PROGRAMS -> OTS LABS for a shortcut to this program.
   
   Ots Studio is also included in the OtsDJ download and is best suited for ripping new music, editing established Ots Album files, and converting smaller numbers of MP3s. An Ots Studio shortcut should be located on your desktop.
   
   
8. What is Ots Player?
   
   Ots Player allows you to easily examine your Ots Album files. It is designed as a quick and light-weight program to "surf" your digital audio assets. It is not designed for general purpose listening and enjoyment of audio, as why would you want to "play" when you can "mix"?
   
   Ots Player is a free-for-non-commercial-use application. It is ideal for distributing Ots Album files with a simple method for playing them. Ots Player will run fine even on slow computers.
   
   Licenses can be obtained for the royalty-free right to distribute Ots Player with your album or other audio.
