- How to save my song to CD?
In FlexiMusic Composer you save the output to .wav file then use the free software came with the cd writer to write the cd.
For writing to cd you need to set the format to 44100, Stereo, 16 bits. Go to menu Tools > Options Settings > Sound Output Format and set the format to this.
- What is Select Instrument Sound?
In the Music Cycle window "Choose" button to choose a particular instrument for a block/step. This will open up a Select Instrument Window. Select Instrument Sounds are list of wave file samples (names) available to choose. In FlexiMusic Composer more then 600 instrument sound samples are available. When the composer starts for first time all sound samples will be listed in the Select Instrument Window.
If you have your own instrument sound samples select and arrange them into different groups, and save that as default collections. Then that default collection will come automatically with every new composer file.
- How many groups are available in Instrument list (Select Instrument Sound)?
Instrument list have two main groups one is Instrument group and other is My Recordings.
- Instrument Group: In this group you can save the sample wave files into different groups under the instrument group. You can have many sub group under this use "Add" button to add your own.
- My Recordings: This is a special group used exclusively for this song only. The files added through this group will not be available in common instrument list for other songs. In this group you can add your voice, lyrics, special sounds etc...
- Which is the Pattern in the music cycle window?
In the Music Cycle window under the track type you will see line of blocks. Each line represents one pattern. On the left hand side of the pattern you can see the controls of Add, Delete and Play and also see the other display values.
- How many tracks I can add in the Sequencer window?
In the Sequencer window you can add unlimited number of tracks. But preferably you should limit it to few so that the processing will be faster. A typical song will have 10 to 15 tracks.
- What is Wave on Wave effects?
Wave on Wave is a special filter that can produce number of new effects. Combination of having other effects before this effect will affect this also in modifying the sound.
- What is Reverse effects?
It reverses the wave to play backwards by reversing the order of samples. This reversing can be done in part by setting "from %" and "to %" values. Useful for creating special effects.
