Frequently Asked Questions - Record Anything

1. I can't record anything.
   You haven't properly set the recording channel. Double click on the blue icon in the bottom-right systray area, in the configuration window:
   1. Choose the proper input channel. For music, it's usually WAVE, WAVE OUT, STEREO, STEREO Mix etc. For voice, it would be Microphone.
   2. Adjust the input volume, maybe with the help of the optimize wizard.
   3. Click apply.
   
   
   
2. The only input channel choice in the drop down box is "microphone", why?
   Do you have multiple sound devices? Some video cam may include a microphone only sound device. Go to "Control Panel => Sound/Audio Devices => Audio =>Sound Recording", then switch the default recording device.
   
   
3. How do I record a voice chat session?
   It's a little complicated. Please follow these steps.
   1. Use headphone instead of speakers to avoid echo noise.
   2. Go to Windows Volume applet and enable "Microphone".
   3. Open Record-Anything configuration window and choose Stereo Mix(or similar channel name like Stereo, WAVE Mix, etc. depending on your system) as the input channel.
   4. Start recording.
