Frequently Asked Questions - AztekTrading Forecaster Standard
- What is a neural network?
A neural network is an information processing structure which is inspired by the way the mammalian brain processes information.
Neural networks are given a set of data and learn to guess the right output. Typically neural networks are very good at recognizing patterns.
Within AztecTrading products the neural networks are trained on a set of past data to forecast future data.
- What is a genetic algorithm?
Genetic Algorithms (GA) are a method of "breeding" computer programs and solutions to optimization or search problems by means of simulated evolution. Processes loosely based on natural selection, crossover, and mutation are repeatedly applied to a population of binary strings which represent potential solutions. Over time, the number of above-average individuals increases, and better fit individuals are created, until a good solution to the problem at hand is found.
Within AztekTradingTrading products a genetic algorithm is used to train the neural network.
- Should I trust the forecasts and invest ?
Acting on a stock market is your own responsibility. AztekTrading Forecaster products are a set of tools designed to help people to invest. We are not responsible for any loss or profit generated by the use or misuse of our products.
- How can I get better results ?
You can try training 2 or 3 networks for the same problem. If you would like to forecast for day+5, you can also train two complementary networks at day+4 and day+6.
