PowerPoint Slide Show Converter itself requires Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, XP or 2003, but the self-running slide shows created with it do not require Microsoft PowerPoint.

To make a self-running slide show from a PowerPoint presentation file, please follow the simple steps below:
  1. Choose the source Microsoft PowerPoint file.
  2. Optionally, change the output file name.
  3. Review the available options of the slide show:
    • If you choose "Next picture after ... sec.", the slides will change automatically after the specified interval (in seconds).
    • Selecting "Wait for mouse click" makes the slides not change automatically, requiring for the next slide to appear a left button mouse click or a space bar key press.
    • You can select a transitional effect from the list, or choose None for simple slide change, or choose Random for a random transition effect for every slide.
    • If you turn on the "Loop continuously" option, the slide show won't exit after the last slide, and will start showing the presentation again from the first slide. To exit the slide show in this mode, please press the Escape key.
    • In most cases the "Compress Better" option can significantly decrease file sizes of converted presentations. But in many cases it may also decease the image quality of slides. We recommend you to use this option for presentations that mostly consist of photographic images.
    • Also you can choose whether you want a normal application file or a screen saver using the special drop-down box on the left from the slide show options box.
  4. Finally, click the "Make The Slide Show" button to actually create the self-running slide show.
