Ulead GIF Animator 5.05 - User Guide and FAQ
Screenshots - More Details
GIF Animator supports many different kinds of video-based effects, each one containing its own unique settings. This includes the transition effects (those effects in the top-half of the Video F/X menu). However, some settings are shared between them all. These are:
- Effect type Select the type of effect you wish to apply from this drop-down menu. Listed here are all the available transition effects in GIF Animator.
- Frames Enter the number of frames you want the transition to be applied over. For smaller, more compact Web-oriented animations, set a lower number of frames.
- Delay time Enter the duration that each frame is displayed on the screen, in increments of 1/100th of a second.
- Set frame transition order Allow you to choose the two images between which the transition occurs. In the Source frame drop-down menu, specify either the selected frame or a blank, color-filled matte. In the Target frame, specify either the final frame in the transition (usually the frame immediately following the Source frame), or a blank, color-filled matte.
Frequently Asked Questions - Ulead GIF Animator
- Q: What are the differences between the Photo and Line Art Optimization presets?
A: The only difference between these two presets is the dither setting. For photo-realistic animation, setting the dither value to 100 gets the best color gradient result. Setting it to 0 works best for line art animation.
- Q: How can I adjust the attributes of an object in all frames at the same time?
A: You can change the attribute of the object in one frame first. When the object is still selected, use the 'Synchronize Objects across Frames' function to update all the attributes of the object in all frames.
- Q: I cannot use the Favorite Image Editor function because there's a banner text object in my project. What should I do?
A: Right click on the banner text object and you will see a contextual menu. In that menu, choose 'Split Banner Text.' Then you will be able to edit the current frame in your Favorite Image Editor.
