Frequently Asked Questions - Magic ASCII Studio
- Image Conversion of Magic ASCII Studio takes a long time to generate a HTML file and the output file is too large, why?
Magic ASCII Studio has to process the image, create the text code, and generate the output file, it is normal for it to take some time. And if the image is large, the output file will be also an extremely large file.
The output file which Magic ASCII Studio generates will be larger than the actual source image.
For example, a small image, converted to a HTML file goes from 32x32 to about 384x384 that is a 1:12 ratio. Due to this change in size, using a large source image will create an extremely large HTML file.
We recommend using the Image Editor to make the source image somewhere around 100x100 or smaller.
- The output HTML file which created by Image Conversion of Magic ASCII Studio can not be displayed correctly in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Is this a bug?
No, that is not a bug of Magic ASCII Studio. In the testing period, we also find the same problem. That is if the output file is too large, it can not be shown very well in IE. We thought there was something wrong with the output file at the beginning, so we checked the generation kernel. But we didn't find any problems in the program. And when we open the output HTML file with Dreamweaver, ha, it can be shown very well. There is nothing wrong with the output file generated by Magic ASCII Studio. Perhaps there are some bugs in IE when it shows some large HTML files, we guess. Also as some other users say, the output file can be shown very well in NETSCAPE, FireFox etc. Because the kernel of NETSCAPE is not based on IE and Dreamweaver is the same.
