Reducing model

To start reduction process, you can perform one of the following actions:

1. Press this toolbar button
2. Select "Start" from the "Reduce" menu
3. Press "Ctrl+R".

To interrupt reduction process, press this toolbar button or select "Stop" from the "Reduce" menu.

First, the process of initialization is launched. Progress Bar Control located in the upper toolbar displays the percentage of completed work.



During the process of initialization, the ratio buttons located in the upper toolbar remain gray.

When the process of initialization is finished, the program automatically starts reduction process. The percentage of competed work is displayed in Progress Bar Control with different color.



When reduction is being performed, some ratio buttons located in the upper toolbar start to be highlighted with green color. You can press any of these buttons to change reduction ratio.



You can see the achieved number of polygons during the process of model reduction in program Status Line after the sign "Achieved:"



After reduction process is finished, you can tune the reduced model to get any desired level of details (LOD). Use navigation in 3D window to display your model.

After you select appropriate details level, you can save the model in a different VRML-file.
