Screen Saver Files There are two types of files that you can create with Top Screensaver Builder. The two types of files are explained below: 1. SCR file. This is the standard windows Standard screen saver files. When you choose to build this file, the output file will have an extension of scr. For example myssaver.scr. You will have to manually copy the scr files to the windows system folder to add them to your windows screen saver collection. In Windows XP, 2000 or NT this system folder is located in Windows\system32. As for other version of windows, such as Windows 98 and ME, the system folder is located in Windows\system foloder. 2. Distributable self-installing file. The file created will be an executable file. After you run this file, you have the choice to preview or install your screen saver.
