- How do I edit a lookup table?
1. Activate the Lookup View by choosing Lookup View from the View menu.
2. Select the lookup table you want to edit from the drop-down list on the toolbar.
3. You can now browse the records in the selected lookup table the same way you browse videos in the Video View.
- How do I disable the Auto Capitalize feature?
Hold down F12 as you type to temporarily disable this feature, or deactivate the 'Automatic field capitalization' option if you don't want to use this feature at all (Tools->Options->Data Entry).
- How do I change the order of DVDs in a box set?
Bring up the 'Video Edit' window, and rearrange the DVDs in the contents list; simply click on the DVD you want to move and then drag it to the new position.
- How do I create a thumbnail view?
- Activate either the Video View, the Contents View or the Lookup: Person View.
- Open the List menu and select List Layouts. And then you see the 'List Layouts' window.
- Click the New button.
- Select Type / Thumbnail view, then click OK. You see the 'New List Layout' window.
- Give the layout a title, and select which image field you want to display.
- Specify the number of columns, and columns and row height.
- Click OK, and then click Use.
- How do I transfer the program to a new computer?
1. Download the setup file, and install the program on your new computer.
2. Copy your license file (CATVids.lic) from the old computer to the new (save it to the folder you installed the program to).
3. Move your database to the new computer (you can use the Backup/Restore functions to do this).
- Is it possible to change the left margin?
Yes.
1. Choose Report Designer from the Report menu.
2. In the 'Report Designer' window, choose Open from the File menu and open the desired report.
3. Choose Page Setup from the File menu, and specify the new left margin, then click OK.
4. Choose Save from the File menu to save the changes.
