To see the cross-translations display after you have translated a word To English, simply click on the "cross translation" icon at the top right of the result area.
- Can I use Babylon-Pro offline? How?
You can work offline with Babylon, but if you want translations when you are offline, you need to download the glossary or dictionary you wish to search in, so that the translation is received from your hard drive - regardless of your connection to the internet or to our servers.

- Click the dictionary's name in the results screen, then choose "about [the dictionary's name] -> " Send suggestions to author " - Babylon will open an online web browser, which will give you the option to suggest a word. Please fill the relevant fields and click "submit".

Choose the relevant dictionary/glossary click "More Details...", then choose "about [the dictionary's name] -> " Send suggestions to author " - Babylon will open an online web browser, which will give you the option to suggest a word. Please fill the relevant fields and click "submit".
- Are there ''Say-it'' voices for languages other than English?
By default, Babylon's text-to-speech is only available in English. Babylon uses a free text-to-speech engine that was developed by Microsoft and is part of Windows OS. If you want to download a different text to speech component for other pronunciations you may refer to Microsoft's web site. There the non-English components are under the "Text-to-speech engines" section of the site.
You can enable the text-to-speech in Babylon by choosing "Configuration > Voice" from the Babylon menu.
- I cannot hear the pronunciation when I click on the ''Say'' icon. What is wrong?
The "Say-it" feature requires installing a text-to-speech engine. This free engine is not part of the Babylon-Pro installation and has to be downloaded and installed separately. You can download the text-to-speech engine from the Products section of this site.
- My Firewall detects a connection attempt made by Babylon to the internet
Babylon makes a daily connection, in order to find if any updates are available for the currency conversions, for the dictionaries, and for the client itself.
