MailTalkX 3.60 - User Guide and FAQScreenshots - More DetailsBefore MailTalkX can check for messages coming to your email address it needs to know a few things about that address and the way you connect to the server. Create a MailTalkX mailbox by selecting Mailbox | Add. In the Mailbox Properties dialog, fill in the Title of the mailbox as you want it to be shown on the MailTalkX main window mailbox tabs. Then fill in the other fields as you would for any other mail program (If you're unsure of these settings see Mailbox Properties (for help). Leave the Auto Check Messages unchecked for now and don't bother yet with Spam/Sound Filter Settings. Click OK when you're done and select the mailbox tab with the new title to see the (empty) list of messages in that mailbox. To get your MailTalkX mailbox in sync with your inbox on the server, connect (if you aren't already) and select Mailbox | Check For Messages. (Later, when you have more than one mailbox, you would Check All For Messages) A looking glass will be added to the envelope icon beside the mailbox name as the connection is being made. If there are no messages, the envelope icon will return. If there are messages, a page will emerge from the envelope icon and each message will be listed with details. If for some reason MailTalkX can't get connected (eg. you're not online, or the password failed), the envelope icon will be marked by a question mark. The status line will give you the particulars of the problem. To read a selected messages on the list, select Messages | View Message (or double-click) and that message will be downloaded and opened for you to read. Screenshots - More Details |
