PopupFilter Settings

PopupFilter filters popup and popunder ads.

Normal filtering (all on by default):

Block Popup windows from known advertisers.
Block Popup windows upon page Load.
Block Popup windows upon page Unload.
Block unintentional Popup windows (unless Smart-bypassed see the SMART option below).

Aggressive Filtering

Block Loud popups (on by default): (eg. Popups containing!!). (This option may prevent some intentional popups from loading).

Block Flash popups (on by default): (This option may prevent some flash pages from loading).

Other options:

SMART bypass (Allow popups from clicked links - on by default)

Allows popups launched by clicking a link.

Sound (off by default)

Plays a sound after each item is removed.

Block List:

To block a specific popup window, simply add the title of the window to the Block list using the [Block List] button at the bottom of the panel.

Allow List:

To bypass any of these filters for a specific web page, simply add the title of the window to the Allow list using the [Allow List] button at the bottom of the panel.

How do I register FilterGate?

1. Right-click the green FilterGate icon in the system tray at the bottom right of your screen and select 'Configure' to bring up the FilterGate Control Panel.
2. Click on the [Purchase/Register] button.
3. Enter your email address and registration code.
I've entered my email address but have not received a code by email.
You may have mistyped your email address at the time of purchase. Please email our support staff if this happens so that we can rename your registered email address.
How do I change my FilterGate registration details to reflect a new email address?
If your email address has changed from the original one used when registering FilterGate.
Why won't FilterGate accept my registration code?
Please make sure that the email address you enter into FilterGate is the same one the FilterGate Registration code was sent to.
I've had to re-install FilterGate why won't it accept my original registration code?
Your registration code may have expired. If you are a registered user of FilterGate, you can have our server email you a new key.
How do I get a registration code?
