Cloak 8.0 - User Guide and FAQScreenshots - More DetailsEncrypting A File (Cloak Files) Click Encrypt/Decrypt A File and then select Encrypt. Step 1: Click the first Select button and then navigate through the open file dialog and select the file you would like to encrypt. Step 2: Click the second Select button and then navigate through the directory dialog and select where you would like to save your encrypted Cloak file. Step 3: Select whether or not to compress the file you are encrypting. (Turning compressing on will dramatically reduce the size of your file, but might increase the overall processing time.) Step 4: Enter and confirm your password. Step 5: Click the Encrypt Now button to complete the process. Hiding A File (Random Pixel Steganography) Click Hide/Unhide A File and then select Hide. Step 1: Click the first Select button and then navigate through the open file dialog and select the file you would like to encrypt & hide. Step 2: Click the second Select button and then navigate through the open file dialog and select the image you are going to use to hide your file. (Cloak supports: bmp, gif, png, and tga files.) Step 3: Select your preferred encryption algorithm. (Encryption algorithms are used to scramble your data. Arcfour, Blowfish, and Rijndael are all very strong encryption algorithms. Any one of the three will be more than adequate enough to secure your data.) Step 4: Enter and confirm your password . Step 5: Click the Hide Now button to complete the process.
