Stealth Storage 1.1 - User Guide and FAQScreenshots - More DetailsHow to make it stealth Stealth Storage may be absolutely stealth? Without any icons on desktop or system tray and without any popup windows. Follow these easy steps to make it stealth: 1. You must setup Control Panel password. You will use it to popup Control Panel window in order to add/remove disks or change program settings. Select Options/Passwords/Control Panel menu item and setup the password. 2. Select Options/Preferences menu item, General tab, and disable system tray, desktop icons, and balloon windows. Passwords Stealth Storage does not store entire passwords. There is no way to get back your password if you lost it. The program uses MD5 algorithm to check if the password you entered is correct. Type your secret password anywhere on a screen when you need to mount a disk or perform other operation(s) that requires, a password. That is right - Stealth Storage does not have a special window where you can type a password and press OK to continue. You can type your password in any Windows application (MS Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, your favorite game, etc). If password is correct, it will disappear right away and requested operation will be performed. Important. Passwords will not work if program's Control Panel is visible on a screen, even if it's minimized. Basic things you should know Stealth Storage software consists of several little programs: 1. The disk driver - a heart of software. All disk read/write operations including encryption/decryption are done on driver level ensuring there are no any backdoors to data stored in disk container. 2. Configuration program. You will use it to create or delete new pseudo-disks, change passwords etc. Double click on Stealth Storage icon in either system tray area or desktop (both icons are optional). 3.
