Lively Browser can be best described as an advanced web browser application containing many kinds of popular and useful site lists, especially Alexa Top Sites List which are complied by Alexa Traffic Rank. Currently it contains more then 2,000,000 top popular sites, forums and softwares. How to install Lively Browser? You can download the latest version of Lively Browser first. And then run the install all the same with any other windows application. Lively Browser doesn't need any other runtime environment. How to download Alexa Top 100,000 Sites List with my premier member information? Please use following instruction to get started with our Premier Member Service: 1) Install the latest version of Lively Browser. You can download it from: http://www.livelybrowser.com/download.html 2) Input your member Option, ID and SN in the Member Service page. You can open it by "Products -> Member Service..." in the main menu of Lively Browser. 3) Restart Lively Browser. 4) Add "For Premier Only" if you want it. You can add "For Premier Only" by "Products -> For Premier Only -> Add For Premier Only..." in the main menu of Lively Browser. Notice that it contains Alexa Top 100,000 Sites List, as well as full directories of our top sites, forums and software, totalling about 50MB, so it will take you quit a long time to download it, you can click "Run in Background" to download it. After completing the installation, you will find "Premier" in the main menu toolbar of Lively Browser. 5) Ask us for assistance to purchase any Alexa Top Sites. Lively Browser supports two browsing modes to surf in intenet, Tabbed mode and Tree mode(recommended). Tabbed mode is a traditional mode to layout web pages one after another. For example, page A pop three pages(A.1, A.2, A.3), then A.1, A.2, A.3 will be shown as three sibling pages just after page A. Moreover, if page A.2 pop four pages(A.2.1, A.2.2, A.2.3, A.2.4), then these four pages will be shown as four sibling pages just after page A.3. As a result, you are now browsing 8 pages in a plane. Tree mode is our original mode to layout the opening web pages just as a tree branches from its trunk. For example, page A pop three pages(A.1, A.2, A.3), then A.1, A.2, A.3 will be shown as three daughter pages just under page A. Moreover, if page A.2 pop four pages(A.2.1, A.2.2, A.2.3, A.2.4), then these four pages will be shown as four daughter pages just under page A.2. As a result, you are now browsing 8 pages in a tree. The number of total sites does not add up to either more than 2 million or 1,838,554. Current Total Sites = 1,838,554 + 105*100 + 21*100 + 31*1000 + 100,000 = 2,082,154 > 2,000,000 Moreover, if you need to open many resources at the same time, it may occupy more then 256M RAM memory. So you need to modify following config file: C:\Program Files\Lively Browser\LivelyBrowser.ini. This file configures how much Lively Browser can use of your RAM memory. The default value of the max is 256M. If your computer has more then 512M RAM, you can modify it to: -clean -vmargs -Xms128m -Xmx512m Does your software behave better with more than 256M RAM? This is based on your usage. We have 2,082,154 sites in total. If you want to browse more sites at the same time, your computer might require additional RAM. However, the behavior is generally unaffected. Does updating happen automatically when opening Lively Browser? Yes, it does happen automatically when opening Lively Browser by default. However, our updates are generally on a weekly basis and at week-ends. So it is no need to search for updates every time lively browser is started. You can modify this option by: "Windows -> Preferences" in the main menu, and then you can find "Install/Update -> Automatic Updates" on the left. Some sites only show little squares or a completely garbled mixture of kinds of characters, why? Please try to right click on the webpage at somewhere blank and then change the webpage encoding. If this instruction doesn't work for you, maybe it will be necessary to install the relevant language pack from your Windows Install CD. Is Lively Browser spyware? No, Lively Browser is not spyware.
