Frequently Asked Questions - Web Pictures Downloader
- Why are the downloaded pictures not on my hard disk sometimes?
You should click button 'Options' and check the parameter 'Picture Names' to see if you have selected 'Stamps pictures names with time info'. When you search a web site and download pictures, there are a lot of pictures have the same name, such as 1.jpg or 2.jpg etc. If you select 'Save pictures with original names', the picture file on your hard disk will be overwritten by new picture which has the same picture name. The solution we provide is to add the time info to the picture file names.
- Why even if I have selected 'Stamps pictures names with time info' the pictures I downloaded still do not exist on my hard disk, I check them several times but no result, why?
You can get the correct picture file name in the 'Picture Name'- the third column of pictures list. Please recheck the pictures using the new name.
- I only want to download pictures on a web page rather than searching more of its sub pages, what should I do to make it complete more quickly?
You should set the max level in 'Options-Search' to 1. This will make Iphoto only check the web page itself and download pictures on it rather than check more web pages, which can make Iphoto complete downloading more quickly and save your time.
