Creating a New Icon

Use the New Icon dialog box to create a new icon. To open this dialog box, do one of the following:

Choose File > New Icon.
Press Ctrl+N.
Click the New Icon button on the toolbar.

In the New Icon dialog you should choose the desired icon size and color depth (Icon Craft can be used to create and edit icons as large as 3000x3000 pixels, but Windows 95 and Windows 98 currently support icon sizes up to 127x127 pixels only). An icon can contain several image formats and you may later add more of them. A new icon can also be created automatically on each Icon Craft startup. To enable this option, follow the steps below:

Choose Options from the View menu.
Open the General tab.
Mark the Icon checkbox in the Create at startup group.

If you want to disable the creation of an icon on each program startup, mark the Nothing checkbox in this group.
