Image Mapper 1.0 - User Guide and FAQScreenshots - More DetailsCreating new map To begin with new map click "New" button on the toolbar: "Import Image" dialog will popup. You have to define an image to draw the map on. Image Mapper currently supports images in GIF and JPEG formats. After you select the image, a new document will be created. Drawing shapes To draw the shapes use the tools located on the toolbar: Rectangles Position mouse cursor over the image, press and hold mouse button and drag the mouse. Release mouse button to finish. Circles Position mouse cursor over the image, press and hold mouse button and drag the mouse. Release mouse button to finish. You can draw circles only. No ellipse can be drawn. Polygons Position mouse cursor over the image, press mouse button and release. Drag the mouse to the next point of the polygon. Press and release mouse button to define next point. Repeat this step for every point of the polygon. To close the shape drag the mouse cursor to the starting point. The cursor should indicate by displaying a plus sign. Press mouse button to close the shape. After you draw the shape, it will appear in the shape list below the image. Defining URLs To define the URL move the mouse cursor over the shape and press mouse button: You can define and HTML compliant URL like "http://" or "mailto:" or just simple file name. Alt For browser that cannot display images, forms, or applets, this attribute specifies alternate text. Specifying alternate text assists users without graphic display terminals, users whose browsers don't support forms, visually impaired users, those who use speech synthesizers, those who have configured their graphical user agents not to display images, etc. Target The following target names are reserved and have special meanings. "_blank" The user agent should load the designated document in a new, unnamed window. "_self" The browser should load the document in the same frame as the element that refers to this target. "_parent" The browser should load the document into the immediate FRAMESET parent of the current frame. This value is equivalent to _self if the current frame has no parent. "_top" The browser should load the document into the full, original window (thus canceling all other frames). This value is equivalent to _self if the current frame has no parent. Prompt This value defines popup text displayed by the browser when the user moves the mouse cursor over the area. Screenshots - More Details |
