Doppelganger XP is a backup and restore utility that sits in the system tray and protects against loss of important data by copying selected files and folders to a second hard drive, removable drive (e.g. Zip Drive) or network drive at user configurable time intervals or set times. Doppelganger XP only performs backups on files that have changed since the last backup and selection of files and folders is achieved using drag and drop operations.

Doppelganger XP provides protection for important files and folders by making unattended uncompressed timed backups to a second hard drive, network drive or removable drive. But it can't filter to include or exclude specific file types (.doc, .xls), it also can't specify wildcards * and?. Trial version of Doppelganger XP is limited to four folder or files, and is limited to one hour to backup.
