How Synchromagic works
Synchronizing: Synchromagic will automatically compare files, and find any files which have an older date of modification and overwrite with the newer one.
Replacing destination - Synchromagic deletes any target directories (files) which are not present in the source directory and copies newer and older files from source directory to the target directory. Caution: Be careful when using this operation because the deleted files can not be recovered.
Backup/restore tasks - The Backup Button provides compressed backup to a zip archive file. If "Use targets simultaneously" option selected source will be backed up to all targets every time task started. If "Use targets consecutively" option selected, every time task started only one target will be used (next target for next time and so on). If "Archive target" option is checked, source files will be archived into zip archive on the target.
Logging synchronization information - Every task that Synchromagic performs will write to the log file. Log files ((Task ID).txt) are located in the logs subdirectory of the Synchromagic home directory.
A note about FTP-server file synchronization - Remember that the FTP-server sets the date and time to the date and time you finish copying the files to it. For more information on FTP use, see the FAQ on the Gelosoft website.
