Flash file recovery - quick start guide

Flash File Recovery is computer data recovery software for flash cards. It will effectively recover corrupted or lost data from formatted, damaged, unreadable or defective storage media.

STEP 1 - DOWNLOAD & INSTALL

STEP 2 - SELECT THE TYPE OF SEARCH AND THE DRIVE TO SEARCH

Click on the desktop icon to run the program. A wizard will present you with two search options :

     1.   Full scan

     2.   Fast scan

The most comprehensive results will be obtained by running a "Full scan".

Select the device you wish to scan by using your mouse to select the device from a drop-down list. Click next to proceed to the next wizard screen.

STEP 3 - RUNNING THE SEARCH

When the 'Start scan' button is pressed the search is commenced. Note that a "Full scan" may take a long time (up to several hours) as it is a scan of your entire storage media.

It is possible to preview the search results while the search is in progress.

STEP 4 - THE RESULTS SCREEN

STEP 5 - SAVING RECOVERED FILES

Flash File Recovery must be registered in order to save files.

Check files to be saved in the results screen. Then click the 'Start recovery' button. You must currently save files to a separate storage media to the one on which they were recovered.
