How to use 1st Clock
- Open Clock popup menu.
- Double-click Adjust date/time via internet or click once and select Now.
- Click "Go".
- If synchronization successful, then the Check Time Adjustment Dialog is shown.
Verify the suggested time and press "Accept" or "Cancel" correspondingly.
- If synchronization failed, then 1st Clock displays an appropriate error message.
Close the dialog and open Clock popup menu, then select Adjust date/time via internet and select Options... to adjust synchronization options.
Frequently Asked Questions - 1st Clock
- What happens when alarm runs?
When alarm runs it displays the alarm message dialog. It is displayed using alarm colors and shows alarm message. For annual alarms, age can be calculated automatically.
You can setup alarm to play sounds when it runs. 1st Clock can play sounds using MP3, WAV, MIDI files, Audio-CD tracks or MP3 collections (M3U play lists). Also you can use built-in speaker to play melodies from a built-in list of 80 melodies. You can setup alarm to launch application or document.
Also you may disable alarm message, and alarm will only play sound and launch applications.
Acknowledging alarms
When alarm message dialog is shown, you can select whether you want to Close or Snooze the alarm. You can "snooze" the alarm on any period of time. When this period expires alarm will run again. You can close the alarm. If this is the one time alarm, then closing the alarm will delete it to the recycle bin. If this is the recurrent alarm, then it will be shown on the next recurrence.
- How to customize?
To customize the tool tip you need to open the Tool tip properties page of the Options dialog. To do this, you can right-click the clock, select Clock options..., Appearance, Tool tip.
All changes you made in the dialog are reflected immediately by the clock. Move mouse cursor over the clock to view changed tool tip. If you click Cancel, then previous settings will be restored.
- What is Swatch Internet time?
Swatch Internet Time represents a completely new global concept of time, one without time zones or geographical borders.
In short Swatch has divided up the virtual and real day into 1000 "beats". One Swatch beat is the equivalent of 1 minute 26.4 seconds. That means that 12 noon in the old time system is the equivalent of 500 Swatch beats. As a result Internet Time is the same all over the world.
A day in Internet Time begins at midnight Central European Wintertime (GMT+0100).

To display Swatch time in the clock or tooltip, use the and time format elements while customizing clock display.
