Stamp Collection Manager 3.1 - User Guide and FAQ

Screenshots - More Details

Stamp Collector is an organizer for your Stamp collection. Stamp Collector provides several fields for information about each entry including Stamp, Category, Issue Date, Country, Condition, Grade, Format, Face Value, Perf, Watermark, Type, Quantity, Value, Buy Price, Buy date, and two extra fields. All of these fields can be labeled differently or customized if you so desire using the Custom Fields feature. Each of these fields is further discussed in the Stamp Collector Features section of the help.

Stamp Collector also provides a section for entering a detailed description of each Stamp, click on the "Details" button, and a section for listing the history or other important extras about the Stamp, click on the "History" button.

Some of the special features to version 3.1 include a graphics field, custom reports, page ranges on printouts, custom fields, labels, and importing/exporting from .csv files.

In order to use Stamp Collector you must first 'Open a File' or 'Create a New File'. The first time you use Stamp Collector, it will open the Example file called Example.stm. If the example file is not found, the program will automatically create a new file for you called "NewFile.stm". To rename this file just go to the File Menu and do 'Save Stamp Collector File As'.

Once you have a file opened, click on the 'Add' button and enter the data for the Stamp. Once you have the data the way you like it, click the 'Save' button. The data is saved in the Open file at that point. Repeat this procedure (Add then Save) for each Stamp you would like to add.

Converting Stamp Collector Files to .csv for Export

Go to the File menu and select "Convert to .CSV file". Next, select the file that you want to convert (this is not necessarily the file you currently have open). Once you have selected the file, click Okay and the .csv file will be created. The new .csv file will have the same name as the original Stamp Collector file except the extension will be .csv.
