RepairDisk Manager 2.0.013 - User Guide and FAQ

Screenshots - More Details

How does RepairDisk Manager Work?

RepairDisk Manager consists of three main parts:
  • RDM Console - the RDM Console is the main application which governs when, where and how often emergency repair files are created and backed up for all computers in your network. This is the visible user interface.
  • RDM Agent - the RDM Agent is deployed to each computer and creates and locally stores the emergency repair files. The Agent performs all client side operations.
  • RDM Scheduler - the RDM Scheduler records user account information to allow the emergency repair file generation process to be safely scheduled in accordance with the NT security model.
Once you have established when and how often the repair disk process should be executed using the RDM Console, the RDM Scheduler stores the information and deploys the RDM Agent to the designated computers at the required time. The RDM Agent performs all client side operations (i.e., creates emergency repair files on the target computer) and notifies the RDM Console. The RDM Console then retrieves and stores the emergency repair files.
