- Can I order System Mechanic on CD?
Yes. We stock CD copies of our software and they are available when you select a physical shipment method such as Postal Delivery during the ordering process.

- Can I install System Mechanic on more than one computer?
System Mechanic is licensed on a per-computer basis, meaning you must purchase a separate license for each computer it is installed on.
- How do I download the "registered" version of System Mechanic?
There is no registered version of System Mechanic. We keep only one file on our Web site, which is used for both evaluation and registration purposes.
The evaluation version becomes the fully functional "registered" version after your licensing information is entered. This licensing information is e-mailed to you when you purchase System Mechanic. If you do not have an e-mail address or prefer to have the serial number sent to you via a different method, please contact us.
- Do I have to pay for System Mechanic upgrades?
All updates for the current version you own are free. If you own System Mechanic 6.0, then all versions from 6.0a to 6.xx are free to you.
- Can System Mechanic 6 tools be run using a DOS command line?
System Mechanic 6 does not use the DOS command line.
- How do I remove the Incinerator icon from my desktop after System Mechanic is uninstalled?
You must first download and re-install System Mechanic to remove the Incinerator. After you download and install System Mechanic, perform the following steps to remove Incinerator:
Open System Mechanic.
Click the Protect tab.
Click the Permanently Delete Files link and then select Desktop File Incinerator.
Click the Uninstall Incinerator button. This should remove the tool from the desktop.
