- How often should I run this program?
The program should remain running the entire time as it is a wonderful resource to keep you up to date on your RAM status. Freeing RAM should be done at least once a day, after running memory hogging programs such as media players.
- Is there a freeware version of your program?
Presently, there is not a freeware version of RamSmart.
- My computer seems to slow for about thirty seconds after I close your RamSmart program. Then the computer is much better than before and I have more RAM. Are these few seconds of slow down normal or am I doing something wrong?
This is completely normal. RamSmart forces windows to regain Ram for the currently running applications which takes from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Do I need to close all programs before running RAMSmart?
It is suggested to close the programs that are not being used anymore, but it is not necessary to close applications that you are using currently.
- Is there a new version coming out soon and will people who have paid receive that new version for free?
All RamSmart versions are sent out as a full and complete version for the trial period. whenever you download a newer version, the registration information is already on your computer and you will not need to reregister.
- Does this program use many resources if I just keep it open?
AllBeGone has developed RamSmart to use the least resources as possible. It is not a heavy weight on your computers RAM or processor.
- Can this harm my RAM by doing this?
The process is completely safe and should not affect your computer. In either case we clearly state in the license we will not be responsible for what you choose to do with the program.
- Can I use this on an Apple computer?
AllBeGone creates applications for Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT, and XP and does not support Apple, Linux or any other operating systems.
