DNS4Me 5.1 - User Guide and FAQScreenshots - More Details
Background: Reno Syvavinch is an IT director for a mid-western company. Six months ago, he moved from Tennessee to Michigan. Reno's parents, in-laws, and brothers and sisters still live in Tennessee. Problem: Reno's family is very close and his children are all very young. In order to help his family keep up with what's new in Michigan, Reno emails new pictures to his family. Because he has a large family, he emails a lot of pictures to a lot of individuals, which is very time consuming and isn't a very good solution since some of his family have limits on the size of their mailboxes and the number of attachments they can receive. Solution: Reno purchased a DNS4Me domain to host a web site on his broadband connection. After installing DNS4Me Reno enabled the built-in web server, pointed it to a directory on his computer where he created an image web site , he now only emails to his family that he has new pictures. His family can browse the pictures of his growing family from their web browser using his DNS4Me domain name. Reno doesn't have to send large email messages or hire a hosting company.
