How to use Aimersoft DVD to iPod Converter to convert DVD movie to iPod Video MP4?
- Please download Aimersoft DVD to iPod Converter.
- Load DVD file. Then install and run Aimersoft DVD to iPod Converter. Load your DVD into the program: Please click "Load DVD" button or directly click the “File -> Load DVD folder” in the main interface, then select your DVD-ROM in the pop-up window and press the "OK" button. You also can click “Load File” button to import IFO file from your computer hard disk.
- Select the chapters you want to convert. You can convert your whole DVD by highlighting the title which contains the whole episodes of DVD, such as the title 01 in the following screenshot. Or if you like, you can select certain chapters to convert: Press the little button before “Check All” on the interface to find all the chapters in the file.
This software fully supports all kinds of DVD, such as regular DVD movie and DVD MTV. DVD MTV will have several titles, so you can select the desire MTV to convert.

If you want to add video to iPod with iTunes, follow these steps: Open iTunes, drag the converted video file to your iTunes library, connect your iPod to computer, then click iTunes "File -> Sync iPod", done. If you do not want to use iTunes to add video, you can use the free iPod Copy Manager provides by Aimerosft DVD to iPod Converter; it can help you transfer the converted video to iPod directly without iTunes. You can capture and convert a clip from your movie by the "Trim Movie" feature of our program. Click the "Trim" icon and set the start time and end time of the clip you want to convert. Or you can just select a title or just a few chapters in your DVD to convert.

- How do I get rid of the black edges around my movie?
You can cut off the black edges around your movie video by the "Crop Video" feature of our program. Click the "Crop" icon and crop your movie video using the provided methods in the crop window.
- How do I rip my DVD into one file?
To rip your DVD into one file, you can just check the "Merge into one file" option next to the DVD audio selection option, and the converted files will be converted into a single file. By default, the the merged file is named after the first selected file (either a title or a chapter).
- When I click “iPod Copy Manager” to upload the converted files to my iPod, an error occurred suggesting my iPod is not properly connected to my computer or it doesn’t allow files to be written in
Firstly, please check your iTunes. If you set your iTunes to sync with your iPod automatically, the error will occur when you close your iTunes. You should check the box “Manually manage the music and video” on your iTunes, and then close iTunes.
Secondly, to make sure the iPod has been connected to your computer successfully, you can check if there is a hardware icon (mobile disc icon) on lower right status bar of your computer screen.
After the above two steps, please launch the program again and click “Tools -> iPod Copy Manager ” to upload the converted files to your iPod. And there shouldn't be any problem now.
- I've already converted a DVD using DVD to iPod Converter But no way to import the file to my iPod. iTunes keeps telling me that: the file (MPEG4) is not playable on my iPod!
There might be something with your parameter settings.Please go to Output Settings mode to lower the video resolution and audio bitrate.In theory,if the video resolution is not higher than 640*480 and audio bitrate is not higher than 128kbps,there won’t be any problems occurring to you.
If the above solution still can’t work,you either contact us for technical support or use File Management embedded in the program to upload the files to your iPod.
