- Some disc generate white noise with DVDPean
Answer: The white noise problem may be caused by 24 bit LPCM. At present, DVDPean only can process 16 bit sound (16 bit sound is standard), so if the audio track is 24 bit, the output file will be white noise. You can choose AC3 in "Audio track" combo-box.
- What can DVDPean do?
DVDPean is an easy to use DVD audio copying and ripping software .Copy DVD Audio to mp3, wma, wav ,ogg, Ra,Ram, AAC, mp4, APE, Flac, Mpc .
- What is an ASPI Driver?
Answer:An ASPI driver is required for DVD ripping. Windows 95 or 98 comes with the ASPI manager pre-installed, while NT does not. To tell if you have an ASPI manager installed, look for a file called WNASPI32.DLL in your Windows system directory (c:\windows\system or c:\winnt\system32 are common locations).
- Can not read from XXXXX.vob, why?
Answer:This problem results from the copy protection of your dvd disc. To unlock the dvd disc, you can also use dvd player software. PowerDVD will do the job. Just play the DVD with PowerDVD and run DVDPean, the "Can not read..." problem will go away.
- What is .IFO file?
The .IFO (and backup .BUP) files contain menus and other information about the video and audio.
- What is .VOB and .AOB file?
VOB files (for DVD-Video) and .AOB files (for DVD-Audio) are MPEG-2 program streams with additional packets containing navigation and search information.
- What is 'Bitrate'?
Also known as Bit rate. The speed at which digital audio and video content streams from a source, such as a file, to be rendered properly by a player, or the speed at which binary content in general is streamed on a network.
- How to convert to a big file without split to several 700M files?
At the last step of the wizard, you can select the output file size to "infinite" instead of the default 74Minute VCD or 74Minute ISO CD.
