- Is it possible to convert movies from NTSC to PAL format?
No, because these are completely different formats. A conversion would result in audio and video problems...
- Using MovieJack I receive always the message \"medium can't be copied\". Why? What does this mean?
Since 2003 there is a new german copyright law in Germany. The result is that it's not possible to copy protected Video-DVDs with the current versions of MovieJack.
- Can I work with my PC while converting with MovieJack?
Yep, generally no problem. But MovieJack needs a lot of CPU time, so your system will slow down a bit...
- Can I convert NTSC movies with MovieJack?
Yes, we support both PAL and NTSC.
- The original movie contains Dolby Digital 5.1. Why can't I use it with my (S) VCD?
Well, (S) VCDs contain always only stereo sound. It's impossible to store the separate sound tracks of Dolby Digital 5.1. in thus format...
- If I use in MovieJack the function to search for updates, does the software act as spyware?
No, MovieJack is no spyware. It only checks the exact number of the installed version and compares this with the latest released version.
- I have a very fast system. Why is it so time consuming to convert a movie?
Video encoding is a very complex thing. But with modern devices (not older than one year), conversion or encoding can be done normally in real time.
- The size of the MPEG output file is bigger than the size of the CD media I have set as output size. How can this be?
Using the (S) VCD Format it's possible to store more information per sector in comparison to a normal data disc. MovieJack calculates the output size in a way will fit to your disc, don't worry. :)
