How to cut off the black edges on your DVD movie with Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum

1. Load files. Click button "Load file" to load the video files from a DVD folder, such as "I:\VIDEO_TS". You can also click button to load video files from DVD Rom or directly from an IFO file.
   • To load files from a DVD folder, you must select a fold containing files like *.BUP, *.IFO and *.VOB, or you will be informed that the selected folder is not a valid DVD folder.
   • To load from a DVD Rom, you must make sure that you have a DVD Rom with a DVD disc in it. The software will automatically detect the DVD Rom and load video files.
   • To load from an IFO file, you must first locate and open the file and the software will read the relative information from the IFO file to load the video files.
   After a successful load, you may see changes in the main working area.



2. Enter operating window, click button "Edit".



3. Customize your crop.
   • Define a crop area. You have two ways to define a crop.
     ① In the Crop Customizing Window, you can select a preset cropping mode. There are 6 options to select. They are "No crop", "Cut off top and bottom black bar", "Cut off top black bar", "Cut off bottom black bar", "Cut off left and right black bar", "Cut off all black bar". The software will automatically define a crop area for you after selecting any of the options. The crop area can also be slightly modified by change values in the "Up", " Down", "Left" and "Right" blank. You could also click "Reset" to change the values to the original numbers.
     ② You can also drag the 8 little squares (please see the circled area in the follow picture) to define a crop area.
   • You can select a video aspect ratio in the "Zoom" drop-list for the output video files. There are 4 options to select. They are "Full screen", "Keep original", "16:9" and "4:3".
   • Click button OK or Cancel to confirm the selection of the crop area or abort.



4. Adjust the output settings if you need.



5. Start cropping. Click button "Start" to start cropping. In the conversion window, if you want your computer to be automatically shut down after the conversion, you can check the Shut down your computer after conversion option; if you want to open the output folder after the conversion, you can check the Open the output folder after converstion option.

2. According to the following picture ,click Play button and watch the video from the preview window. When you see frames you want to take a snapshot, click Snapshot button. Then the software will save the pictures to the directory you appoint.
