Frequently Asked Questions - Flash Decompiler Trillix
- What is online business? Is it really possible to purchase online?
Doing business online is much easier. However, there are a lot of issues you should be aware of when starting your own online marketing campaign. The most important is security and reliability. In electronic matters you should be really careful when choosing partners and giving out your copyrighted materials. On the other hand, nothing can be easier than purchasing online. There are a lot of online sellers offering processing services, we use two of them, that seem most reliable: ShareIt (www.shareit.com) and RegNow (www.regnow.com). You may find more information concerning online orders in the other category, devoted to online purchasing and selling.

- What is Flash, acutally?
Flash, a Macromedia plug-in, is the standard for interactive vector graphics and animation for the Web. Web designers use Flash to create beautiful, resizable, and extremely compact navigation interfaces, technical illustrations, long-form animations, and other dazzling effects for their site. Graphics and animation will anti-alias and scale based on the viewer's screen size, providing high-quality viewing.
- I'd like to know if there's a way to execute Flash Optimizer as command line, or as Activex, or something?
Currently, this feature is not available, but they are developing a server-side solution and command line control. But I'm still not sure about the pricing.
- I don't see the text, but it is present in resource bar. Am I doing anything wrong?
Everything is correct. Probably the color of the text (or font) is the same with the color of background. Change the background color and you will see it.
- How do I replace the SWF object in my SWF file?
To replace any SWF object make sure that it is present in the Object's tree on the Resource bar. If it is, then click "Replace SWF objects" button at the top of Resource bar, in the window that opens select "Replace images" (if you want to replace images for instance) in the "Replace SWF objects" window. Now scroll the section with all images of your SWF file to find the one you want to replace. Double-click it and in "Replace image" window that shows up, click "open" button (with folder image on it).
Browse the directories to find an image which you want to appear in your SWF file instead a current one. Click "Open" and if the new image is too small or large Flash Decompiler Trillix will ask to choose the option of resizing the image. Click "Ok" and then "Refresh" button in the "Replace SWF objects" window (unless "Automatic SWF refresh" box is unchecked).
If your version of Flash Decompiler Trillix is registered you will be able to click "Apply replacements" button (don't forget to save modified SWF file later). If you have Demo, you will receive the message that you can't apply changes on clicking this button.
- I have found some nice Flash movies on the web which I would like to save to my hard drive and then decompile then and edit. How can I do this?
1) Flash Decompiler Trillix enables you to save any Flash movie you see on the Internet to your hard drive. Note, that this function is enabled only when you use Internet Explorer: after its installation Flash Decompiler Trillix automatically builds in its button to the Internet Explorer browser window.
It is a red cubical icon (grey when inactive) on the toolbar which indicates itself as "Flash Decompiler Trillix SWF Capture Tool" when you point your cursor to it. Click it when your current page contains SWF you wish to capture and in the window that opens check the boxes of SWF movies you wish to save.
2) Perhaps you are using Internet Explorer with some additional built-in plugins, then SWF Capture tool won't show up. We would recommend you to launch Internet Explorer itself to capture SWF from the web pages. To run IE: click "Start" -> "Run" and enter "iexplore" (without quotation marks) and click "Ok".
3) If you use IE itself, but still SWF Capture tool is not on the toolbar, we would recommend you to reinstall Flash Decompiler Trillix and make sure that you choose to select the installation of SWF Capture Tool in the installation wizard of FD:

- How do I change/edit text in my SWF file?
Flash Decompiler Trillix enables you to convert SWF file to FLA file, and also enables you to choose the mode of text conversion within the resulting FLA file.
To edit all types of text (Static, Dynamic and Input text) which are present in your SWF file do the following: open your SWF file in Flash Decompiler Trillix, click "Export resources from movie" button on the Resource bar. Go to "Convert SWF to FLA" tab in the "Export resources" window that opens. Under "Advanced conversion settings" section go to "Text and fonts" tab. Uncheck the first two boxes: "Place text into library (as symbol)" and "Convert static text into shape" and check "Use default text encoding (for extended ANSI)". Press "Convert SWF to FLA" button at the bottom of the window. As a result the output FLA file will preserve the text as text so that you can then edit it in Macromedia Flash.
Note, that the option of text editing with SWF Replacer of Flash Decompiler Trillix will be introduced in 3.0 version of this product which is to be released soon. You will be able to edit text as easily as you replace lines, images, sounds, colors and gradients with current build of Flash Decompiler Trillix.
- How can I export SWF objects to other formats using Flash Decompiler Trillix?
As advertized at Flash Decompiler Trillix features page it allows you to export every type of objects in the selected SWF file into a separate file for further analysis. For instance, you can export sound objects from SWF file into .MP3 or .WAV formats, video to .AVI etc.
To invoke "Export resources" dialog window, navigate to the SWF file in Explorer panel. When you click on it the Resource bar will be filled with SWF objects, select the objects you want to export by ticking corresponding checkboxes in Resource bar and click "Export objects" button in toolbar.
Using this dialog you can:
* specify the path to the folder where the exported files will be located ("Export path" field),
* specify the format you wish to export SWF objects to,
* enable the option to make screenshots of exported SWF files
* define whether to use numbers in output filenames.
"Current activity log" window displays some useful information about exporting process as well as indicates the overall progress. Finally, once all settings are set, click "Export SWF Objects" button to start exporting process.
