Converting from DVD to iPod:
- Open Cucusoft DVD to iPOD Converter.
- Insert DVD to DVD-ROM
- Click "Open DVD" button on the skin or choose "menu->file->open DVD root".
After click open DVD button, a windows dialog box will pop up to let your choose DVD root's directory.
Titles will be showed in Title list window. You can move to the output name column, click mouse right button to change output filename.
- Set the Basic Input setting Audio track, Subtitle
- Set the Basic Output setting output format,output folder, crop mode
- Click the "convert" button.
Converting from Inf file to iPod:
- Open Cucusoft DVD to iPOD Converter.
- Insert DVD to DVD-ROM
- Choose "menu->file->open an inf file", You can also select an IFO file in your DVD movie.
After click "open inf" a windows dialog box will pop up to let your choose dvd inf file.(in dvd root->video_ts folder)
Titles will be showed in Title list window. You can move to the output name column,click mouse right button to change output filename

Converting from Vob,Mpeg file:
- Open Cucusoft DVD to iPOD Converter.
- Insert DVD to DVD-ROM
- Choose "menu->file->open vob", You can select Vob files from DVD or Harddisk folder.
After click open vob ,a windows dialog box will pop up to let your choose DVD VOB or MPEG file (in dvd root->video_ts folder)
VOB files will be showed in Title list window..You can move to the output name column, click mouse right button to change output filename

- I am trying to rip a DVD to my new ipod video and I keep getting this error message.
"MPEG2Dec: Too much sample
Try other frame rate or change 'Detect/Force 24 Hz' flag. ".
The error maybe caused by audio-only titles. Please click "ok" to ignore this error and skip this title. Normally this title is not important.
- When the program rips movies from the disc it gives me a video where the image and the audio isn't synced.
Sometime wrong frame rate can cause sync problem.
You can change some settings in the Settings window. In the Output page, set output frame rate at 23.976 (NTSC) and resolution at lower value, such as 640/432. In the Advanced Options page, check the Audio/Video Synchronization.
Try it on a 2 minutes piece and see how it plays. If it still doesn't work, try the second solution.
- What's the difference between .IFO and .VOB files?
The .IFO (and backup .BUP) files contain menus and other information about the video and audio. It can be treated as the index of the media content. The .VOB files (for DVD-Video) and .AOB files (for DVD-Audio) are MPEG-2 program streams with additional packets containing navigation and search information.
- Is there any limit about the DVD format?
No. There is no restriction to the DVD format. But Cucusoft DVD to iPOD Converter is for personal only. If you don't own the DVD that you are backing up, it is illegal to copy them, and we are not liable for any consequences due to the use of our product for such purposes.
