EZGenerator does not connect to the internet (registration/template download).

The EZGenerator registration connection and template download connection use http access to connect to the internet. This is the same way as your browser accesses internet.

Please check if you use a proxy server when connecting to internet. Try the following:

In EZGenerator go to the menu extra > settings > http proxy.

Click the 'Get Proxy' button.

A. If EZGenerator finds your proxy settings:
Check 'Use Proxy for Http'.
Try the template download again.
B. If EZGenerator says 'no proxy':
Open an Internet Explorer browser
Go to the menu Tools > internet options > connections > lan settings.
Look for 'Proxy settings'
- If a proxy is stated, try to copy the address and paste it into the EZGenerator http proxy settings.
- If no proxy is given, on same tab, go to the 'use automatic configuration script'.
When this checkbox is checked, get the address and send in a user-forum message about your problem.

Do you send me a CD-ROM with the program?

EZGenerator is a directly downloadable product,

which means you can download the version (± 13 Mb in size) directly from our internet servers.

When you place an order, you get an email with your personal registration number and download/installation instructions. If you follow these instructions, you will be up and running in no time.

This means that we do NOT send you a CD afterwards.

The advantage of this method is that we can easily provide you with :

How long does it take to send me my EZGenerator serial number?

We are based in Europe and have different time zones. Therefore it can take some time before we answer. We process all orders by hand as we receive high volumes of fake and fraudulent orders.

On weekdays we process mails starting from 10am -sending the first out at 12.30pm- and sending a second load at 6pm Central European Time (EDT -6). Most weekends there is 1 processing round a day.

Due to a few holiday weeks throughout the year, when staff is limited, no orders are processed during the weekend. In that case it can take up to 72 hours (or Monday morning 12.30pm) before you hear from us.

If you didn't receive our registration e-mail, our e-mail may have been rejected. There are multiple reasons why an e-mail is rejected. Your email box can be full, or your account doesn't accept emails coming from us (e.g. only excepts emails coming from people in your address book). Please check if your email box allows e-mails coming from our "@e-officedirect.com" domain.

You can ask us to resend your registration code e-mail any time. Please go to the lost regcode form. Please state your problem in the 'remarks' box. I'm sure our administrators will help you out within the next business hours.

I get an 'not enough' memory error when installing EZGenerator but have lots of free disc space.

The exact error probably is: "Unable to save the Installer file, check your disk space."

In most cases this means the Windows temporary directory is too full.

In Windows 9x the Temp directory equaled the free disc space. In Windows2000 and up, the Temp directory space is limited.

Add extra space to the Temp directory by deleting files or moving files to an alternative directory.

When you aren't sure which is your Windows Temp directory, go to the Windows Start menu > Run.

Type Temp and click the 'OK' button. The Windows Temp directory will show up.

How can I manually update EZGenerator?

There is no default procedure for downloading EZGenerator updates manually.

We suggest you try to use the automatic update from Menu help > Online update.

Also check the other FAQ items. In this FAQ and in the EZGenerator support forum you'll find suggestions to solve most common update errors.

Can I unlock the EZGenerator trial to a full program by registering it?

No, the EZGenerator trial version cannot be registered.

You need the special EZGenerator program installer to get a version of EZGenerator which you can register. The link to this EZGenerator installer file was send to you in the registration e-mail.
