Mediathek for Mac is a German application that mainly allows you to search and download videos from the online portals of German channels ARD, ZDF, 3sat, ARTE, WDR etc. on Mac OS X. Obviously, most English speakers won't find much use for it but if you are an English speaker living in Germany, or you have access to German channels and want to download programs from channels such as ZDF, WDR, 3sat etc, then Mediathek is a very handy application.
