Detailed Description of FCS Remover 2.5.6

FCS Remover allows you to uninstall all Final Cut Studio components with the press of a button. Apple does not offer an uninstaller, making removing or downgrading to an earlier version very difficult. Simply deleting the Final Cut Studio application icons does not remove the suite, nor does it make it possible to reinstall it again. FCS Remover allows you to quickly and easily uninstall Final Cut Studio either permanently or in order to reinstall an earlier version over the top.

What FCS Remover removes

Please note that the software allows you to specifically select which components you wish to remove.
FCS Remover also removes preference files, installer receipts, documentation, codecs, frameworks and content folders (LiveFonts, sound effects, templates, etc).

What if I have other pro apps such as Logic or Shake installed on my system?
Choose the Maximum Compatibility option, as this will leave behind frameworks shared by other applications.

Do I lose my Final Cut Server database?
You can choose to keep it if you wish by deselecting Database under the Final Cut Server heading.

Must I re-enter my Final Cut Studio serial number when I reinstall?
To prevent your registration information from being removed, click on the Shared Files heading and deselect Registration.
