Detailed Description of QuickIndex Maker 1.0

QuickIndex Maker creates first pass back-of-book indexes by using the Riptide algorithm developed by melwin.net. The algorithm uses the latest technology in natural language processing to identify key words, phrases, and names. QuickIndex Maker opens Microsoft Word documents using your installed version of Microsoft Office. It then breaks apart the document page by page and identifies key words, phrases, and names within the page. The end result is a printable RTF file containing the first pass back-of-book index.

QuickIndex Maker is designed for non-professionals -- students, researchers, and writers.

The Trial Version will process only the first 25 pages of a document. The Full Version will process the entire document. It has been tested on manuscripts up to thousands of pages.
