Asset information can be entered into the InTrek application by either using the keyboard or by using a hand held scanner. In addition, the application allows the user to create and store template information that can be retrieved at a later time. The use of templates helps speed up the data entry process of the application. The number of template that the application can store is unlimited. In addition, before asset information is stored into the database it is stored in a temporary table. This allows the user to enter large amounts of asset information and then later process the information in a batch mode, thus speeding up the data entry process.
