Detailed Description of OutBack 4.0

Merlinia OutBack is an advanced in/out board with optional integration to the calendar in Outlook or Lotus Notes. Also available is optional integration with mobile (cell) telephones via SMS and optional integration with Alcatel PBXs.

OutBack makes it easy for the receptionist (or anyone else in the company) to determine if an employee is present or not and to find the right employee via an easy-to-use search facility.

OutBack requires no administration due to its integration with Active Directory or Lotus Notes. The employee's current status is indicated from his/her calendar information or via manual input. Manual indication of presence/non-presence is extremely easy - just hit one key on the keyboard.

OutBack is a PC program that allows people to find each other quickly and easily, and gives your company the ability to provide good telephone service in 30 seconds - or less.

OutBack combines the classical "in/out board" with a calendar view, employee information center and a messaging system.

OutBack can be integrated with your telephone switchboard, becoming the ultimate tool for your telephone receptionist - and empowering everyone in your company to be a telephone receptionist! OutBack can also integrate with mobile telephones via an SMS gateway, and the OutBack status screen can be broadcast as a web page on your intranet or on the Internet.
