iRescue Screenshots

Main Window
Select Recovery Mode
When you launch the iRescue from desktop or Programs group, you will see the above window which is the main window of iRescue. From the main window, users may select one recovery mode from Undelete mode, Unformat mode and Partition Recovery mode, or just exit.

Driver Selection
Select Driver
When the recovery mode has been selected, iRescue will display the drive selection window. You must now select the source drive (the volume that holds the deleted files) and the target drive (the location where the recovered files will be saved).

Scanning Progress
Scanning Progress
The actual analysis of the volume (to find the deleted files) is made up of a few steps. The number of steps depend on the recovery mode that was selected earlier. The scanning progress screen just looks like the above. When the scan process is completed, iRescue will display the scan and validation results summary. By closing this dialog you can proceed and start recovering your files.

Save Dialog
Save Dialog
When iRescue displays the file selection window like above, you can select your files and copy them to a safe place. Simply select the files you wish to recover and copy them to safety by clicking the "copy files" button. You can use the common Windows way of selecting files: either hold and select a number of files, or click a file and use the key to select multiple files. You may also use the key combination to select files. Use the "folder view" toggle to display the folder tree or to display all files in one convenient list. This toggle also allows you to search for files.

Options Config
Options Configuration Dialog
The configuration dialog will display three tabs. Please note that the default settings are optimized for automatic operations. Selecting "partition recovery mode" will engage different default settings than "undelete mode". In general you will not need to change settings, only change settings if the situation dictates or if DIY DataRecovery support suggests that you do so. Settings will not be saved: when you apply changed settings and close the program, settings will be at their default values again when you run the program later. This is by design.
