Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger, the next-generation version of Microsoft's instant messaging service for consumers, has been available for download in final form right after 9 p.m. PDT yesterday.

It was said a milestone for Microsoft's Windows Live program. Windows Live Messenger is not the first Windows Live service to launch globally in final form, but it is the first core, major one to do so, remarked by Brooke Richardson, MSN group product manager.

Windows Live is a family of Web-based services that covers search, e-mail, mapping, and consumer web portal. It also provides video calls, Internet telephony, file sharing, and integration with other Windows Live services, such as Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Search.

Having a variety of web software products under the same brand, what is Microsoft real purpose? Yes! Microsoft wants to take a nice position in the keen competition with Yahoo and Google in the field of the expending online advertisement Market.
